Girard-Perregaux 1966 Château Latour Edition Uses Vineyard Pebbles

In a groundbreaking collaboration, Girard-Perregaux, the esteemed Swiss watchmaker, and Château Latour, the legendary Bordeaux vineyard, unite their legacies to unveil the exclusive Grand Cru Girard-Perregaux 1966 Château Latour Edition. With only 18 pieces available, this exclusive edition marries the savoir-faire of Château Latour, founded in 1331, with the rich history of Girard-Perregaux, a key player since 1791.

In a nod to innovative dials, the 1966 Château Latour Edition boasts a dial crafted from pebbles originating from the hallowed Latour vineyard. The unique pebble dial, made from pale yellow pebbles, is a meticulous work of art. Each pebble, carefully cut to 0.45mm thickness, creates a distinctive sandy yellow and white pattern.

The 1966 Château Latour Edition’s dial is shrouded in a 40mm polished pink gold case, standing at a sleek 9.4mm, It also features golden appliques, including thin baton indices at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, a GP logo, an elegant golden leaf-shaped hour and minute hands and central seconds with plume counterweight, and water resistance up to 30 meters. The watch comes with a luxurious brown alligator strap with an 18k pink gold pin buckle.

Underneath the sapphire crystal caseback, the 1966 Château Latour Edition reveals its beating heart – the in-house 218-part automatic caliber GP03300-2180 movement. It beats at a frequency of 28,800vph and features circular and straight Côtes de Genève, snailing and sunray finishes, 27 jewels, and a 46-hour power reserve.

The Girard-Perregaux 1966 Château Latour Edition is limited to just 18 numbered pieces. It’s not available everywhere and is an exclusive privilege for private guests of the Château Latour estate and Villa Girard-Perregaux in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Priced at $37,700, this masterpiece is a collector’s dream that celebrates craftsmanship, heritage, and the timeless elegance of this watchmaking and viticulture collab. For more details, please visit the Girard-Perregaux website.
