Frederique Constant Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture | A Limited Edition Steel Marvel of Accessible Luxury
In the ever-evolving world of luxury timepieces, Frederique Constant continues to make waves with its commitment to accessible luxury. Celebrating Frederique Constant’s 35th anniversary, the Citizen Group recently opened a multi-brand store on New York’s Fifth Avenue. To commemorate the occasion, the Geneva-based luxury watchmaker revealed the limited edition Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture in steel, a testament to horological prestige.
The Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar is encased in a brushed and polished 41mm stainless steel tonneau-shaped case, convex-shaped sapphire crystal, see-through caseback, a matte dark blue hue closed dial, accentuated embossed latitude and longitude lines, 3 snailed sub-dials with month and leap year at noon, date at 3 o’clock, and day of the week at 9 o’clock, a one-minute tourbillon at 6 o’clock with small seconds, applied indices and hour and minute hands with Super-LumiNova, and water resistance up to 100 meters. It comes with a brushed and polished 3-link integrated steel bracelet, as well as additional calfskin and rubber straps that all benefit from a tool-free interchangeable system.
At the heart of the Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar beats the in-house FC-975 movement, a testament to Frederique Constant’s commitment to horological innovation. Operating at 28,800vph, it features 188 components, 33 jewels, an openworked gold rotor, Côtes de Genève finishes, a tourbillon regulator with silicon escapement wheel and anchor, and a respectable 38 hours of power reserve.
Limited to just 88 pieces, the Frederique Constant Highlife Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar in steel carries a price tag of $26,995. For more information, please visit the official Frederique Constant website.
