The new Casiotron TRN50-2A is an homage to the original version from 1974, the dawn of digital watches, with the release of the first-ever Casio wristwatch, the Casiotron QW02-10. Now, in late February 2024, Casio introduces the TRN50-2A, a limited-edition tribute to its revolutionary predecessor. True to its roots, this masterpiece boasts a meticulous reproduction of the original design, from the textured case and band to the dark blue dial adorned with the iconic Casiotron logo.
While the TRN50-2A, measuring 42.7 x 39.1 x 12.3 millimeters and weighing 111 grams, stays faithful to its vintage inspiration but seamlessly integrates modern advancements. It features a stainless steel case and bezel, a super-twisted nematic (STN) LCD display, mineral glass, a stainless steel screw-back case, and a 50-meter water resistance. It comes with a one-touch, 3-fold clasp band.
Beyond its timeless exterior lies a powerhouse of innovation. Equipped with Tough Solar power and Multi-Band 6 automatic radio time adjustment, it seamlessly connects to the user’s smartphone via Bluetooth, unlocking a plethora of features through the Casio Watches app that includes auto time adjustment to reminder alerts and phone finder.
