Riccardo Giraudi’s Beefbar is officially opening in New York this week and it’s already the talk of the town. Taking over the building that housed the old Nobu in Tribeca, Beefbar New York aims to serve curated prime meat cuts inside a masterfully designed space. The timing couldn’t be better as New York City’s culinary scene is due for a revival. We were in attendance at the restaurant’s pre-opening gala and got a glimpse of what to expect from Beefbar’s first U.S. outpost.
After stepping into Beefbar New York, it’s hard to imagine the brand started nearly twenty years ago. It’s truly withstanding the test of time and Tribeca Hospitality Group is proving to be a worthy steward. With a perfect blend of colors and textures, Beefbar New York is delivering modernity without compromising luxury and timelessness. Pure marble from Italy is tastefully — but not sparingly — placed and even helps transition guests from the larger dining room to meat display fridges to a bar that feels opulent. First impressions are everything and Beefbar New York’s attention to detail deserves to be experienced and remembered.

The evening unfolded in a symphony of culinary delights, as guests savored Beefbar’s signature dishes. Highlights included the Tempura Rock Corn, ribeye ham on cracker, smoked beef amatriciana, quesadillas, crispy rice and gyozas. Paired with specialty cocktails such as the Beefbar Mezcalita, the Tropical Negroni, and Beefbar Milk Punch, the gastronomic journey was nothing short of extraordinary.
Like most establishments however, the Beefbar New York will win because of its people. Executive Chefs Thierry Paludetto and Peter Jin lead the kitchen, crafting exceptional dishes inspired by the world’s finest beef cuts. Director of Operations Mike McDurmon runs a tight, smooth ship while Beverage Director Sean Struss leads the bar and is crafting some of the most creative cocktails on this side of the Hudson.
Beefbar New York prepares to open its doors to the public on April 4th. Located at 105 Hudson St, New York, NY 10013, Beefbar promises to redefine the culinary landscape of Tribeca. Operating hours for the restaurant are from 5:00 PM onwards, with the bar extending its hospitality until 1:00 AM daily.
