Rolex Unveils The Exclusive Oyster Perpetual Deepsea 136668LB Presents 18k Yellow Gold And Blue Variant

Rolex, renowned for its dedication to functionality and durability, takes an unexpected turn at Watches & Wonders Geneva 2024 with the unveiling of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Deepsea 136668LB in 18k yellow gold. This new addition to the Rolex lineup challenges conventional expectations, blending opulence with practicality in a diver’s watch that pushes boundaries.

In recent years, Rolex has steered towards understated luxury and functional design, emphasizing conceptual integrity over ostentation. However, the introduction of the Rolex Deepsea in yellow gold marks a departure from this trend, embracing a bold and lavish aesthetic. With a water resistance of 3,900 meters (12,800 feet), this 44mm timepiece is a statement of robustness and luxury.

Crafted from 18k yellow gold, the Rolex Deepsea’s inner Ringlock compression ring, now made from Cerachrom ceramic, complements the blue Cerachrom bezel, creating a cohesive and visually striking design. The watch features an 18k yellow gold Oyster bracelet with ceramic inserts for enhanced flexibility and durability. It also features a screw-down case back in RLX titanium, 5.5mm thick sapphire crystal on the dial side,  RLX titanium helium relief valve, and a  3,900-meter water resistance. It comes with a 22mm wide 18ct yellow gold 3-link Oyster bracelet with an Oyster safety clasp with the Glidelock extension system.

Powered by the Rolex Caliber 3235 self-winding movement operating at 4Hz, the Deepsea offers precise timekeeping with a 70-hour power reserve. The movement incorporates Chronergy escapement, Paraflex shock absorbers, 31 jewels, hours, minutes, seconds, and date functions, and a COSC-certified superlative chronometer.

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Deepsea 136668LB in 18k yellow gold is priced at $52,100. Please visit the official Rolex website for more information on availability.
