Sonos Ace | A New Contender In Premium Headphones Enters The Market

Sonos, a well-known brand for its high-quality audio products, has finally entered the headphone market with the Sonos Ace. Priced at $449, these headphones are crucial for Sonos as they aim to boost their product line amidst a dip in demand for their speakers and soundbars. The Ace headphones offer superior audio quality and innovative features, appealing to casual listeners and home theater enthusiasts. Here’s a closer look at what makes the Sonos Ace stand out.

The launch of the Sonos Ace headphones is a response to years of customer demand. CEO Patrick Spence mentioned that ‘tens of thousands’ of customers had requested these headphones. Inspired by the success of their home audio systems, Sonos aimed to create headphones that offer a seamless and immersive audio experience, seamlessly integrating with their existing products. The Ace combines features from leading models like Sony’s WH-1000XM5 and Apple’s AirPods Max but adds unique touches like magnetic ear cushions and a sleek, modern design.

The Sonos Ace headphones are a powerhouse of advanced features designed to elevate mobile and home audio experiences. They boast advanced active noise cancellation (ANC) and an Aware mode, support for Dolby Atmos and dynamic head tracking, TV Audio Swap with a single button press, lossless audio over Bluetooth with aptX Adaptive and via USB-C, and memory foam ear cups wrapped in vegan leather.

Reflecting Sonos’ commitment to sustainability, the Ace headphones use 17% less virgin plastic and feature replaceable ear cushions, making them more environmentally friendly.

The Sonos Ace headphones in black and white are available for pre-order at $449 and will ship by June 5th. They can be purchased from Sonos’ online store and major retailers like Best Buy.
