The new MANHATTAN 37 – MSS.02 is another collaboration between the innovative French designer Romaric André (known by his moniker, seconde/seconde/) and the Swedish watch brand MAEN. This exclusive timepiece is available for pre-order for a limited time only.
The MANHATTAN 37 draws its inspiration from the timepieces of the 1970s, featuring an integrated bracelet and a clean design. This model also carries a deeper, symbolic connection to the Manhattan Project, reflecting the profound consequences of this historical event. By stripping the dial of its traditional indices and indicators and adding a trefoil motif on the seconds hand, the design pays homage to the project’s complex legacy and the sobering reality of its power.
The MANHATTAN 37 – MSS.02 is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship. It boasts a distinctive steel case, a vertically elongated Côtes de Genève dial in a ghosted ice grey color free from logos, indices, and indicators, sapphire crystal glass, a vertically elongated octagonal bezel, an integrated stainless steel bracelet, and water resistance up to 100 meters.
At the heart of the MANHATTAN 37 is the Sellita SW200-1 b Swiss-made automatic Movement. This movement is a true no-date movement with 26 jewels, a bidirectional rotor, and a Nivaflex mainspring.
The MANHATTAN 37 – MSS.02 is priced at $1,062 and will be available for pre-order starting June 7th for a limited 24-hour window. Each watch is individually numbered and comes with exclusive packaging and documentation. Deliveries are expected by the end of November 2024.
