Credor, Seiko’s luxury brand, is marking its 50th anniversary with the new Credor 50th Anniversary Locomotive Limited Edition. This timepiece, designed by Gérald Genta, blends the rich history of watchmaking with modern advancements.
Credor has been a symbol of precision and luxury since its establishment in 1974. The Locomotive Limited Edition, designed by Gérald Genta, takes inspiration from a single sketch he drew. It was reproduced in time for the brand’s half-century celebration and features a dial inspired by steam locomotives. This theme runs through the watch’s design language.
The 38.8mm Credor Locomotive Limited Edition hexagonal case is crafted from high-intensity titanium brushed with polished accents. It also showcases an engraved black dial with 1,600 radial lines, applied markers, and luminescent hands, a framed date window, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a screw-down crown, a solid titanium back secured by 6 screws and a 100-meter water-resistance. The watch comes with a high-intensity titanium bracelet with brushed and polished hexagonal mid-links with a three-fold clasp with push button release.
The watch runs on the in-house Caliber CR01 movement. It features 26 jewels, beats at 28,800 vibrations/hour, and has a 45-hour power reserve.
The Credor Locomotive Limited Edition, reference GCCR999, priced at approximately $12,000, is an incredibly exclusive release, with only 300 pieces available worldwide starting August 9th. For more information, please visit the official Credor website.
