Chevrolet Unveils 1,064 HP 2025 Corvette ZR1

The 2025 Corvette ZR1 is Chevrolet’s most powerful Corvette ever produced. It merges power and innovation with its advanced V8 engine.

The engine is Chevrolet’s highest-performing engine yet, featuring a 5.5L twin-turbocharged DOHC flat-plane crank V8 called the LT7. This powerhouse produces a staggering 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm. With this engine, Chevrolet estimates the ZR1 can exceed 215 mph and complete a quarter-mile in under an astonishing 10 seconds.

The LT7 engine builds upon the Z06’s LT6, with twin turbochargers for the first time in a factory Corvette. The entire engine is optimized for greater performance, from unique head castings to a new intake system. The ZR1’s transmission is also significantly enhanced with increased gear capacity, upgraded inner and outer input shafts, and improved oil management for smooth shifting. Moreover, the ZR1’s handling is upgraded to match its power with a new brake system with carbon ceramic rotors.

The ZR1’s incredible speed is also due to its sleek, aerodynamic design. Its carbon fiber aero package produces over 1,200 pounds of downforce at top speed. This model also has the classic Corvette split rear window.

The Corvette ZR1 already offers great performance, but the optional ZTK performance package makes it ideal for track racing. The package adds front dive planes, a high-downforce rear wing, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.

The 2025 Corvette ZR1 is available in both coupe and convertible versions. Pricing and availability details will be available closer to the production date. For more information, check out the Chevrolet website.
