De Bethune has recently released the latest edition to the DB28XP line-up – the DB28XP Kind of Blue DB28 Tourbillon. It is an exquisite merger of the DB28XP model and the DB28 Kind of Blue Tourbillon. This edition is scheduled to launch as a limited series of 20 pieces.
The watch boasts De Bethune’s characteristic profile with its 43-mm timepiece placed in a polished case made of blued Grade 5 titanium and is accompanied by a black alligator leather strap. Moreover, it has a remarkable thinness of 9.1mm, staying true to DE Bethune’s commitment to ultra-thinness since 2020.
The DB28XP Kind of Blue DB28 Tourbillon also has a tourbillon cage positioned at 6 o’clock, which weighs only 0.18 grams, making it the lightest-ever cage created by De Bethune. The watch utilizes an in-house hand-winding mechanical movement: the DB2009V5 caliber, providing a substantial 5-day power reserve.
Compared to the DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon Sapphire, released last December, this rendition comes without the “Microlight” case middle with baguette-cut sapphires, showcasing the pure elegance of the blued Grade 5 titanium case.
