Axel Arigato’s ‘At A Snail’s Pace’ Campaign Embraces The Beauty Of Slowness

Axel Arigato, the Sweden-based label, is entering 2025 by embracing rest and renewal for its first campaign of the year. Titled ‘At a Snail’s Pace,’ the campaign revolves around life-size snail shells and marks a fresh reset for the brand’s impactful 2024.

Axel’s Creative Director, Jens Werner, was inspired by the slowness and introspection snails embody, translating these qualities into a campaign that invites audiences to pause, recharge, and prepare for the months ahead.

The ‘Slow Runners’ shell sculptures were hand-crafted from clay and jesmonite in collaboration with artist Jon Buck, the brand’s long-time partner. For the campaign, the snail shell sculptures are set against a surreal backdrop where models rest inside the shells or bespoke sleeping bags featuring antennae.
