NEEDLES has dropped its FW25 collection with a campaign capturing the vibrant energy of Tokyo’s streets. The Japanese label delivers an eclectic mix for the season inspired by the city’s neon signs, decals, and diverse architecture.
Drawing inspiration from Ivy League aesthetics, the collection features reimaged collegiate suits with embroidered crests, available in a minimalist black check and a striking purple diamond pattern. Bohemian influences, such as printed underlayers and tie-dye accessories, ensure the collection breaks traditional style norms.
The lineup ventures beyond white-collar imagery, incorporating workwear and military-inspired pieces like distressed canvas carpenter pants with a tool belt and an olive green hooded liner jacket. Further breaking menswear conventions, a kimono-style jacket is paired with a brown plaid long pleated skirt.
The collection features skirts in various styles and fabrics. Meanwhile, other bottoms, such as track pants, flannel shorts, and cargo pants, are oversized, staying true to the brand’s signature oversized look.
The collection’s technicolor accessories hint at the counterculture of the 1960s and 1970s. Belt buckles are reimagined as quirky peace signs, corduroy jackets are embellished with silver studded hearts, flare pants feature vintage floral patterns, and puffer vests showcase images of graceful cranes.
Stay tuned for updates on the collection’s release on the NEPENTHES website.
