SOUTH2 WEST8 Embraces Tenkara Fishing Roots For FW25

SOUTH2 WEST8, the Japanese label, has revealed its FW25 collection inspired by the brand’s ‘Tenkara’ fishing origins. The lineup merges simplicity with utility, combining classic winter motifs with practical design features and insulating materials.

Outwear takes center stage, with mid-length parkas featuring corduroy details, shell jackets with plush fur hoods, and bold utility puffer vests. The collection also incorporates striking prints, such as a 90s-style technicolor print on a fishing vest, a hooded jacket, and a red version of the brand’s signature stag and target design on ski jackets and vests.

Knitwear includes classic intarsia wool sweaters in fresh colors and a new snowflake jacquard sweater in red and green. Another sweater features rectangular intarsia patterns in white, yellow, orange, and brown yarns.

The pants lineup features a standout pair of herringbone pants adorned with the brand’s stag skull in a continuous pattern. Jeans and other trousers showcase the delicate embroidery of a small deer in various positions. Functional elements like central patch pockets and double-knee panels.are seen in tactical pants, offered in various colors and fabrics.

The collection includes various accessories, including space-dyed fingerless gloves, vintage latch backpacks, ribbed beanies, trapper hats, and logo bucket hats.
