Adobe Releases Free Photoshop App For iPhone

Adobe is celebrating 35 years of Photoshop by introducing a brand-new mobile version designed specifically for smartphones, which is available for free.

The app offers essential tools such as layering and masking at no cost. Other free tools include the Tap Select tool, which allows users to remove, replace, and recolor elements within their images, and the Spot Healing Brush, which quickly removes imperfections. The app also integrates with Adobe Express and Lightroom, allowing a seamless workflow.

Adobe’s powerful AI tools, including Firefly’s Generative Fill and Generative Expand features, are built into the new app. Users also get free access to Adobe Stock’s vast library of assets, unlocking endless creative possibilities on the go.

The new app is designed for everyone, from professional artists and designers to new creators. It’s the first app to offer this level of precision, power, and control in a free mobile editing experience, enabling creators to enhance and transform their photos anytime and anywhere. Additionally, Adobe has updated the Photoshop web app to bring desktop-level capabilities to browsers worldwide, allowing users to edit directly in the cloud without installing software.

Although the app’s free version already takes the photo editing experience to the next level, users can also opt for the premium plan to unlock even more advanced tools. These include AI-generated imagery, advanced blend modes, Magic Wand, Clone Stamp, Content-Aware Fill, and over 20,000 fonts. The premium version for the Mobile and Web plan is priced at $7.99/month or $69.99/annually.

The new Adobe Photoshop mobile app is now available for iPhone via the App Store. An Android release is coming soon. For more details, visit the brand’s website.
