Serica introduces the 5303 PLD, a limited-edition version of its 5303 dive watch. This model features a new diving scale for the bezel alongside other aesthetic updates.
The 5303 PLD keeps the 39mm stainless steel case with 12.2mm thickness and the same lyre lugs. It includes a soft-iron cage resistant to 50,000 A/M, making it an amagnetic dive chronometer. The watch is powered by the automatic Soprod M100 COSC-certified caliber, offering 42 hours of power reserve.
The standout update is the Bezel, featuring a new ‘Abyssal Blue’ ceramic insert, which joins the black and light blue options. The scale features a ‘DT MAX’ diving scale for the first time, designed especially for EOD divers. This innovative dual-scale shows dive minutes on the inner steel bezel ring and depth markings on the ceramic outer insert. It reflects the operational habits of French Navy EOD divers, helping track maximum working time at various depths.
Another update is a ‘fat lollipop’ seconds hand for enhanced underwater visibility. The dial also swaps its depth rating text for ‘AMAGNÉTIQUE,’ highlighting its magnetic resistance. The watch has a steel mesh bracelet and an elastic strap inspired by vintage Marine Nationale elastic straps.
Only 500 examples of the Serica 5303 PLD are produced, each priced at €1,690. It is available for order starting May 20th. For more details, visit the brand’s website.
