Certain timepieces transcend mere functionality to become icons of style and craftsmanship. Among these revered watches stands the Nomos Tangente 38 Date, a symbol of minimalist design and precision engineering. As Watches & Wonders Geneva 2024 unfolds, Nomos proudly introduces 31 exclusive limited-edition renditions of this timepiece.
Originating from the heart of Germany, Nomos has cultivated a legacy of watchmaking excellence for over three decades. The Tangente, introduced in 1994, quickly emerged as a cornerstone model for the brand, showcasing a timeless aesthetic characterized by clean lines and understated elegance. Now, in honor of Glashütte’s 175 years of watchmaking heritage, Nomos unveils a kaleidoscope of color with the Tangente 38 Date.
The Tangente 38 Date boasts a sleek 37.5mm stainless steel case, complemented by a slim 6.98mm profile—a perfect canvas for Nomos’ vibrant creations. Each limited edition model features a unique color scheme, from the retro-inspired Sportbunt to the bold and vibrant Chili. The meticulous attention to detail extends to the dial, with colorful accents adorning the minute track, date window, and small-seconds subdial. It also has a flat sapphire crystal in front, a sapphire crystal caseback, and 30-meter water resistance. It comes with a 19mm wide textile strap in various colors with the iconic Nomos folding clasp.
The Tangente 38 Date runs on the Caliber DUW 4101 hand-wound movement. Through the sapphire crystal caseback, enthusiasts can marvel at the intricate Glashütte ribbing and perlage, 23 jewels, Nomos Swing System, and sunburst brushing. It has a power reserve of up to 42 hours.
With only 175 pieces available for each colorway, the Nomos Tangente 38 Date represents a rare opportunity for collectors. Despite its limited availability, Nomos has priced these vibrant creations at $1,925. For more information, please visit the official Nomos website.
