McLaren Unveils Special One-Off Tribute To Ayrton Senna’s Legacy at Monaco Grand Prix

In an exclusive collaboration with the Senna Brand and OKX, McLaren Racing will honor Ayrton Senna’s significant impact on Formula 1 at the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix. This unique tribute comes in the form of the recently unveiled ‘McLaren SENNA,’ a one-off livery inspired by the iconic helmet worn by the legendary racer.

Ayrton Senna’s legacy with McLaren spans more than a decade of racing. From 1988 to 1993, he won three Drivers’ Championships and four Constructors’ Championships, with 35 of his 41 career victories with McLaren. His six victories at Monaco, including five consecutive wins from 1989 to 1993, earned him the title ‘King of Monaco.’ The 2024 Monaco Grand Prix, a poignant milestone marking thirty years since Senna’s passing, is a deeply emotional event, making it a fitting occasion to honor his contributions to the sport.

Inspired by Senna’s helmet, the ‘McLaren SENNA’ livery features a yellow, green, and blue colorway. This design extends to the McLaren Senna Road car. Dubbed the ‘Senna Sempre,’ the racing car was hand-painted by McLaren Special Operations and features a detailed dot matrix portrait of Senna and intricate design elements mirroring the F1 livery. Both McLaren race drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, will wear special overalls to mark the occasion, while fans can purchase Senna-themed merchandise from the McLaren Store.

There’s also a Senna road car, the McLaren ‘Senna Sempre,’ that mirrors the design aesthetic of the F1 car, complete with a vivid yellow interior upholstery. The road car will remain in McLaren’s collection, and fans will be able to see the ‘McLaren SENNA’ F1 at the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix, which takes place on May 24th-26th at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo. A special edition Senna x Monaco merchandise line is available online at the McLaren Store for those who want to celebrate with the team.  Please visit the official McLaren website for more information on the McLaren SENNA and the Senna Sempre.
