New Balance continues to roll out fresh 860v2 variants and collaborations for its new wave of retro running enthusiasts. For its latest release, the running brand partnered with COMME des GARÇONS HOMME to create a sleek version of the classic sneaker with a modern look.
The COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x New Balance 860v2 features subtle tonal variations and tight-gauge mesh underlays. This new version gives the shoe a cleaner aesthetic compared to its previous issue, which included high-contrast accents and chunky translucent mesh underlays. The new model also includes a mix of embossed synthetic overlays and suede details, adding depth and texture to the sneaker.
The sneaker is offered in an all-black colorway and a signature gray colorway. The gray option features darker overlays and eyestays, while the black variant has a more subdued tonal feel. Both designs include a white midsole with grey-and-black outsoles, silver details on the heel counters, and a red ‘NB’ emblem beneath the heel tab. COMME des GARÇONS branding is prominently placed on the tongue and insole alongside New Balance’s logo.
The 860v2 is priced at $223 and is exclusively available at select COMME des GARÇONS stores and select stockists, including Dover Street Market’s physical or online store.
