Minimalist watchmakers Instrmnt has collaborated with British cycling brand Freddie Grubb to come out with a beautiful, utilitarian new 2-speed city bike. Hand-built in south London, each bike features a two-speed automatrix gear system and SRAM coaster brake. The defining feature is a leather top tube protector, which both protects the frame from damage and provides a grip for human hands and shoulders.
Matching stitched leather wrap around the handlebars and seat, providing a welcome organic contrast to the brushed silver frame. The Instrmnt x Freddie Grubb city bike will be launched at the London Design Festival on Sep 24.
