The 2009 Anholt-GfK Roper City Brands Index surveyed 10,000 people from 20 countries in April, giving everyone the ability to judge cities on lifestyle, buzz, multiculturalism, cultural life and attractiveness. Now, normally we’d ask how the Big Apple got third on this list (or any list for that matter), but when Paris and Milan are given first and second place respectively, you realize the rare company you are able to represent. London and Rome also ranked high in the rankings, which gave much emphasis on the cities’ contribution to the field of fashion and design.
