Christopher Kane Men’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection premiered at Vauxhall Arches in Central London this week. The line-up expands on abstract page-turning prints and bold linear patterns. Remodeling the idea of flip-book pages from CK Women’s Autumn/Winter collection, Designer Christopher Kane scatters these pages with simultaneous layers coated in this season’s vibrant hues: neon yellow, deep blue and vivid red. For the first time, two-dimensional prints and patterns extend from signature sweaters, shirts and t-shirts to reversible outerwear – a subtle yet brilliant addition. Tailored suits succeed in ultra-fine cashmere-cotton knits and light summer silk shirting run by textured wool jacquards. Additional details are displayed on newly cut trousers and black matte washes on jeans, drawing attention to vertical symmetry. Also featured, from the designer’s first collection, is the Christopher Kane safety-buckle fastening on leather, simple and graphic bags.
