Opening today, Nike has introduced NikeLab, a new destination for consumers that looks to provide consumers with a new way of experiencing retail as it’s blended with e-commerce and digital engagement. Think of it as a showcase of how Nike interacts and collaborates with other innovators while also shedding light on new and surprising products from the global brand. NikeLab will offer up limited edition releases while heritage styles and unique capsule collections from various creative partners, such as designer Jun Takahashi from UNDERCOVER, will also be on hand. Nike has also pushed innovation beyond the product by achieving beautiful aesthetics and design from the spaces themselves while having a low environmental impact. Core Nike design principles such as less is more, lightweight, functionality, and modularity inform the fixtures, materials used in the construction, and the functionality of the spaces. NikeLab opens on today in New York (taking over the iconic 21 Mercer space), London, Paris, Milan, Shanghai and Hong Kong, and digitally through Nike.com/NikeLab. You can follow the conversation Twitter and Instagram as well as We Chat in China.
