During this week’s New York Fashion Week, we got a chance to see the inaugural collection for the Hickey Freeman Sportswear line. Looks like they’re kicking the Fall/Winter 2015 offerings off just right with David Hart onboard as Creative Director. There’s a ton of inspiration being pulled from the early days of American aviation and military with the inclusion of leather and shearling bombers, to a reverse twill field jacket. The color palette’s filled with rich neutrals mixing in hints of vibrance. The lineup includes sweaters, knitwear, sport shirts, outerwear, soft coats, casual trousers, as well as denim. Look for the Hickey Freeman Sportswear to become available in late summer / early fall.
