Finalists for this year’s LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers have been announced, with the eight designers representing the diversity of the Prize. The finalists are Arthur Arbesser, Coperni, Craig Green, Faustine Steinmetz, Jacquemus, Marques’ Almeida, Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh, and Vetements. They hail from France, Great Britain, Portugal, Austria and the United States of America and two them design menswear. They’ll be going in front of the Jury of the LVMH Prize on May 22nd, where they’ll be judged by nine creative directors of the LVMH fashion houses: J. W. Anderson, Nicolas Ghesquière, Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, Phoebe Philo, Raf Simons, and Riccardo Tisci. Delphine Arnault, Jean-Paul Claverie, and Chairman and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group, Pierre-Yves Roussel, are also on the Jury. The winner of the LVMH Prize receives a grant of 300,000 Euros, as well as personalized assistance from a special LVMH team in developing their company for twelve months. Look for the winner to be announced in May 2015.
