Vitra, the Swiss design company, has partnered with denim brand G-Star RAW to bring us the Prouvé RAW Office Edition collection. The selection of lighting and furniture was originally designed by Jean Prouvé for use in French industrial companies in the 1940s. Vitra collaborated with the Prouvé family to reinterpret the designs so that they function in modern day office environments, taking into account the increase in the average human height since then and new cable management. The collection comprises ten pieces manufactured in accordance with these requirements. The chairs, tables, and cabinets are made of solid wood, steel, leather, and heavy duty fabrics. The industrial shades of green and overall look was worked out by Vitra and the art directors over at G-Star. The pieces will be available for purchase until the end of 2016 from Vitra dealers and Vitra’s online store. Check out the items in the gallery below.
