Sonos, makers of high-end audio products, has recently established a space in Shoreditch. Sonos Studio London follows the lead of their space in Los Angeles, consisting of a concert space, work stations, listening rooms, and a cafe. The new studio will host events that focus on music, creativity, tech, and sound, as well as serve as a social and collaborative space for creatives.
The studio heads chose London owing to its contribution to music, as well as being a busy place where musicians and other creatives work during the day and are easily reachable. The building they chose was originally a printworks, and its architectural character was maintained even as its walls and ceilings were lined for acoustics.
