No living room’s complete without a TV and this projector from Sony’s Life Space UX line of home electronics might be the sleekest TV you can own. The Portable Ultra Short Throw Projector is compact and can beam on to any wall or surface but the difference between this and most conventional projectors is the short distance needed to make it happen. It’s battery-powered and measures just 3.19″ x 5.16″ x 5.16″. It has the lasting power of about two hours on a charge and can project an autofocused 1366 x 768 image of 100 lumens and between 22 and 80 inches. There’s an HDMI input but you can go wireless via a hub that connects to your PC or TV. The projector works with Bluetooth Low Energy so you can automatically play media from a smartphone when the two devices are close. Sony’s Portable Ultra Short Throw Projector is slated for a February 13th release in Japan for approximately $800 USD and is expected to come stateside sometime this summer.
