When Band Of Outsiders’ creator and designer Scott Steinberg quit just ahead of its fall/winter 2015 release, many thought the brand had called it quits even with the help of Belgian Fashion Fund CLCC SA. Deciding to end things with a Black Friday one-day-only sale, the LA-based label surprised followers again with CLCC SA’s promise that it would return with a new collection in 2017. Now – only weeks away from New York Fashion Week – CLCC will fulfill its promise, resurrecting the brand this upcoming spring/summer season. Steinberg won’t be involved with the upcoming collection, but the Belgian Fashion Fund hopes to maintain Band Of Outsiders’ recognizable Southern California aesthetic. The men’s and women’s lines will be shown on September 10th in New York City.
