London-based label COS recently took part in Pitti Uomo 94, a biannual trade show, in collaboration with choreographer Wayne McGregor. Inspired by everyday movements, this 17-collection capsule explores the typical COS brand: understated aesthetic, contemporary design, overall timelessness.
The “Soma” collection is home to COS’ traditional aesthetic and values, but they’ve also used some new techniques so that they can always innovate.. Head of Menswear Design Christophe Copin, explained that “to create timeless garments is not only about design; timeless also means quality”, and that is part of why this collection is focused on longevity. COS wants consumers to wear their pieces each season.
Celebrated choreographer Wayne McGregor was tasked with creating a stunning visual presentation to “create an artistic conversation between the clothes and the body, to be free”, per the choreographer’s note on COS’ website.
