Gucci’s Cosmogonie Campaign Celebrates Alessandro Michele

Gucci’s Cosmogonie Campaign, set against the historic Castel del Monte in Italy, highlights pieces from the Cruise 2023 show. Enlisting photographer duo Mert & Marcus with art direction by Christopher Simmonds, the backdrop and props serve to show the collection pieces in themes inspired by poets, scholars, astronomers, philosophers, and mathematicians in Flemish Renaissance portraiture.

The collection features Alessandro Michele’s pieces adorned in ruffles, Victorian-era styling, 1940s silhouettes, and ’70s optical patterns alongside Gucci standards. Highlights include an off-the-shoulder knitted sweater with monograms and fisherman stripes, a metal sequined wrap, embellished headbands, faux fur outerwear, sheer overlay dresses, and new-classics like the Aphrodite bag.
