Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 650 ‘STUNTMAN’ | The 500-Pair Limited Edition Sneakers Inspired by a Legend

Joe Freshgoods, the designer and creative director from the West side of Chicago, just revealed details of the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 650 ‘STUNTMAN’ sneaker. First revealed in teasers last month, the new limited edition sneakers are dropping this weekend.

The inspiration for the pair comes from a photo shoot in a 1984 issue of Life magazine dedicated to the Olympics. Micheal Jordan appeared in the magazine a year before signing a contract with Nike. In it, he was wearing a pair of white New Balance sneakers in the pose that would become The Jordan brand’s iconic Jumpman logo.

The new Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 650 ‘STUNTMAN’ sneakers come in a white and gray colorway, similar to the pair Jordan wore. It features an individually hand-numbered designation and co-branding details on the tongue, ‘JFG’ embroidery on the lateral quarter panel, suede heel panels, and white laces. It comes in a special bag that asks, What if the story was different? in orange.

The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 650 ‘STUNTMAN’ is limited to 500 hand-numbered pairs and will drop on September 9th. Pricing for the new sneaker hasn’t been revealed at the time of writing. Expect the pair to be available from the Freshgoods webstore.
