In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Continental GT, Bentley Motors and London design studio Forestalgia unveiled the Bentley x Forestalgia ultra-limited edition driving glove. This exclusive collaborative project embodies the iconic Continental GT that has defined the modern era of Bentley Motors.
Crafted with an eco-conscious touch and meticulous attention to detail, designer Emmanuel Lawal, the visionary force behind Forestalgia, worked alongside the product engineering studio Areté to create a driving glove that integrates archival design and modern fashion.
The Bentley x Forestalgia driving glove utilizes surplus leathers and recycled materials from the Bentley Motors Factory in Crewe and is crafted from a two-tone palette of Black Crystal and Racing Green, echoing the Continental GT’s optional interior colors. Each handcrafted glove features Bentley and Forestalgia co-branding, double-stitched reinforced protective paneling, hand-rolled leather edges, and ergonomic perforations, all meticulously to reflect the sophistication and opulence associated with the Bentley brand.
A highlight of the manufacturing process lies in the approach adopted by Bentley’s artisans, mirroring the technique used for the GT’s steering wheel leather. This traditional method involves marking the leather with a kitchen fork to ensure every stitch is aligned. The manufacturing process for each of these exclusive gloves took over four weeks of craftsmanship to complete.
These Bentley x Forestalgia ultra-limited edition driving gloves are now displayed at the Bentley Motors headquarters and are poised to become unique collector’s items. Not for sale, the exclusive glove will be gifted as a collector’s item to Bentley customers.
