G-SHOCK Ref. 6900 – Subtract By Ed Sheeran For Hodinkee | Yellow, Splattered and Unmistakable
Hodinkee and G-SHOCK are gearing up for the launch of three new artist collaborations throughout the remaining months of 2023. The first offering, the G-SHOCK Ref. 6900 – Subtract By Ed Sheeran For Hodinkee, is the newest collaboration with renowned English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. This marks a milestone in the wake of their successful trio of G-SHOCK watches in partnership with musician John Mayer.
Inspired by Sheeran’s Subtract album artwork, the G-SHOCK Ref. 6900 – Subtract By Ed Sheeran features a vibrant yellow resin case and strap, an abstract rendition of Ed’s visage on the dial, a subtle subtraction sign at 12 o’clock that incorporated muted hues of red, orange, green, and blue, the iconic G-SHOCK ‘Triple Graph’ display with yellow accents, mineral glass crystal, electro-luminescent backlight with Afterglow, Ed Sheeran and Hodinkee logos on the caseback, and water resistance up to 200 meters. It comes with a resin strap embellished with black watercolor splatters mirroring the peripheral artwork of Subtract and a stainless steel buckle. It arrives encased in G-SHOCK’s signature octagonal tin, complete with custom packaging artwork that mirrors the Subtract album.
Powering the G-SHOCK Ref. 6900 – Subtract By Ed Sheeran is G-SHOCK’s Module 3230. It has a 24-hour 1/100th stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, a multi-function alarm, a flash alert, 12/24-hour time formats, and a two-year battery power reserve.
