Engineered Garments x Paraboot EG Clusaz Built for Street and Mountain Exploration

Engineered Garments, the New York-based brand by Daiki Suzuki, and French footwear brand Paraboot just dropped their second collaboration project focused on the Clusaz model. The Engineered Garments x Paraboot EG Clusaz is the duo’s sophomore outing following last year’s EG Micheal shoe collab.

The EG Clusaz is a handcrafted low-top model that draws inspiration from the Avoriaz shoe and the robust Galibier mountain boot. It features a distinctive zig-zag Norwegian welt construction technique, cleated soles, and a staggered D-ring lacing system. It comes in two color variations: the classic Velours noir and the nature-inspired Velours green. The EG Clusaz is also resolvable, thanks in part to its Goodyear & Norwegian construction techniques.

One of the notable features of the EG Clusaz, the Norwegian welt technique, is a historically significant method renowned for its robustness and adaptability. Still, ironically, it has no connection to Norway despite the name. This technique contributes to the shoe’s waterproofing and longevity.

Check out the Engineered Garments x Paraboot collaboration in the gallery. The EG Clusaz, a limited edition collaboration, retails for around $552 and is only available in some Paraboot boutiques and online at the Paraboot webstore.
