Nomos Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sky and Sand Echoes Summer Shore Vibes

NOMOS Glashütte, the German artisan manual-winding, and automatic mechanical watchmaker, just unveiled the two newest additions to its Ahoi line, the Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sky and Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sand. The Ahoi watches are versatile and intended to go from work to play seamlessly.

Both the Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sky, reference 516/526, and the Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sky, reference 517/527, feature a 38.5mm slim stainless steel body, screw-down crown, red crown stem, domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, sky blue or sand-colored dial, black Arabic numerals, stick markers, luminescent hour markers, a date window at 3 o’clock, a recessed seconds subdial at 6 o’clock with a neon orange hand, woven textile straps in blue-black or dark gray, Nomos wing buckle, six-screw caseback in either stainless steel or exhibition sapphire, and water resistance of up to 200m.

Powering the Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sky and Sand watches is the in-house automatic Nomos neomatik caliber DUW 6101. It features 27 jewels, hours, minutes, and small seconds functions, a bidirectional quick date correction feature, a tempered blue balance spring, a screwed-in balance bridge, Glashütte ribbing, perlage, sunburst polish, heat-blued screws, and a 42-hour power reserve.

Nomos’ Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sky and Sand watches both carry a retail price of $4,320 for the stainless steel back and $4,660 for the sapphire crystal glass back. Both are available from the NOMOS Glashütte website.
