Porsche Design is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911 with an anniversary edition of Chronograph 1. The Porsche Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T is a handcrafted chronograph made in Solothurn, Switzerland, and is exclusively reserved for the owners of the new Porsche 911 S/T.
Following on the premise of a watch to match the car, the new 40.8mm Porsche Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T is built with styling cues mirroring the new Porsche 911 S/T and comes in two variants. Both the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T and the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T Heritage feature a of lightweight uncoated and sandblasted titanium case, matte black dial and bezel ring, bilingual day display at 3 o’clock, minute scale mirroring the vintage 911 S/T 2.4’s rev counter with a red “60”, Super-LumiNova® minute and hour hands, Ceramic Super-LumiNova indexes, white stop-seconds hands, a quick change titanium bracelet, and the limitation number of the matching vehicle is laser engraved on the case back. The printed gear-shift diagram comes in silver for the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T and gold for the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T Heritage, while an included leather strap comes in black for 911 S/T and brown for 911 S/T Heritage. It has a water resistance of 100 meters.
Powering Porsche Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T is the Porsche Design caliber WERK 01.240 with COSC certification, 48-hour power reserve, and a 12-hour flyback function, visible through the seven-layer anti-reflective sapphire-crystal case back. The Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T rotor repeats the design of the alloy wheel of the 911 S/T with options for either a Brilliant Silver, high gloss Dark Silver, or high gloss Black, while the Heritage variant comes in either high gloss Ceramica or Brilliant Silver. The rotor cap has the “S/T” graphic in Brilliant Silver for the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T and the historic Porsche Crest for the Heritage version.
Each of the 1,963-anniversary chronographs comes with a unique watch plaque featuring the 911 S/T image and the individual series limitation number. The Porsche Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T and heritage variants will be available for Porsche 911 S/T owners from Porsche Centers and Porsche Design Stores starting August 2nd for $13,500.
