Piaget Polo 79 | A ‘70s Golden Classic Reinvented

Few brands can match the prestige and innovation of Piaget. As the Swiss Maison celebrates its 150th anniversary, it does so in style with the reintroduction of a legendary icon—the Piaget Polo 79. This isn’t just a revival; it’s a reimagining of the iconic original, blending classic sophistication with contemporary flair.

The story of the Piaget Polo dates back to 1979 when the original model captured the era’s essence with its blend of elegance and sports-chic flair. Now, 45 years later, Piaget revisits this timeless classic, paying homage to its heritage while embracing contemporary design and technology. The Polo 79 represents more than just a watch; it’s a symbol of Piaget’s enduring legacy and commitment to excellence.

Crafted from 18-karat yellow gold, the 38mm Piaget Polo 79 features a case adorned with the signature gadroon motif, sapphire crystal on the dial and the display back, striped gold dial, brushed with polished gadroons, 18k gold dauphine-style hands, and water resistant up to 50m. The integrated bracelet is crafted from 18k yellow gold, brushed and polished with a triple-blade folding clasp.

The Piaget Polo 79 runs on the ultra-thin in-house Piaget caliber 1200P1, an automatic micro-rotor movement. It has 25 jewels, 21,600 vibrations/hour, circular-grained plate, beveled bridges with circular Côtes de Genève, sunburst-brushed wheels, blued screws, and a 44h power reserve.

The Piaget Polo 79 is available through authorized dealers and carries an MSRP of $73,000. Limited to only 79 examples, this exclusive timepiece is an opportunity to own a piece of horological history. For more information, please visit the official Piaget website.
