The Dyson OnTrac Is The Brand’s First Audio-Only Headphone

Dyson debuts its first audio-only headphones, the Dyson OnTrac. It features extended battery life, active noise canceling (ANC), and customization options, which make it comparable to the best flagship devices from other top brands.

The OnTrac’s battery life offers 55 hours of playback with ANC switched on. The batteries are placed on either side of the headband, giving it a slim side profile. The ANC feature is ‘best-in-class,’ as stated by Dyson, produced by eight onboard microphones. The microphone samples external sound at 384,000 times per second and processes it through a custom-built algorithm to cancel up to 40dB of unwanted noise. This innovative technology also promotes healthy listening habits with the help of the MyDyson app (iOS / Android), which allows users to analyze noise level exposure.

Apart from the amazing audio features, Dyson has made the OnTrac even more desirable with its customization options. The color of the headphone caps and ear cushions can be customized according to the user’s preference. Various color options can be bought separately, giving buyers a choice of over 2,000 possible color combinations.

The launch of the Dyson OnTrac marks the brand’s second release into the audio space, the first being the Dyson Zone, a hybrid headphones-meets-air-purifier product. Although Dyson is best known for its vacuums, the features of the OnTrac, showcase their commitment to delivering incredible products, even when it comes to the audio market.

The Dyson OnTrac wireless headphones will soon be available for £449 or $499. The replacement ear cushions and caps are also priced at £49 or $49. Buyers can sign up at Dyson’s website to be notified of the launch.
