Samsung is redefining kitchen convenience with its AI-powered smart refrigerators. By combining Samsung’s Vision AI technology with Instacart’s product-matching system, this innovation allows users to experience effortless grocery management.
The latest Samsung BESPOKE smart refrigerators, including the 32-inch Family Hub Plus and the 9-inch AI Home display, come equipped with advanced AI cameras. These cameras automatically monitor the addition and removal of items, creating a dynamic virtual inventory.
Analyzing this real-time inventory data, the AI alerts users when supplies run low and recommend replenishments using Instacart’s product-matching API.
With a few taps on the fridge’s touchscreen, items can be added directly to an Instacart cart, allowing users to place orders easily. This hallmark innovation simplifies grocery shopping, saves time, and ensures that essential kitchen items are always available. Although the system can identify up to 37 common items, users can easily expand the inventory through the Samsung Food app.
