Bulgari introduced the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon, setting a new record for the world’s thinnest mechanical watch with a flying tourbillon at 1.85 mm-thick.
The Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon features a 40mm titanium case complemented by a 1.5 mm-thick titanium bracelet, maintaining the ultra-thin profile. Two stainless steel crowns protrude from opposite sides of the watch, one that controls winding and the other for time-setting.
The dial layout distinguishes this timepiece from the non-tourbillon model. It showcases the entire BVF900 movement with a mainspring barrel positioned at the upper left and the time displayed with stacked hands against a DLC-coated surface. The flying tourbillon at the bottom right is another prominent feature, emphasizing the watch’s mechanical design. The movement offers a 42-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 vph.
The Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon marks Bulgari’s 10th record for producing the thinnest watch. It is a limited-edition release with only 20 pieces available. Pricing is yet to be confirmed. For more information, visit the Bulgari website.
