At the start of the year, Les Benjamins unveiled its punk-inspired Fall/Winter 2024 collection, which has finally been released. The Istanbul-based label has drawn inspiration from music for the first time, with creative director Bünyamin Aydin looking to Turkey’s punk roots to design the collection.
Aydin paid tribute to ‘70s musician Tünay Akdeniz, whose style, music, and Eastern punk attitude inspired the collection. The lineup is highlighted by oversized and baggy silhouettes for streetwear clothing, including bomber jackets with drop shoulders and zip-up hoodies featuring spiked details and a gaping cut. The collection also features a modern take on the traditional kilt, replacing tartan with Turkish patterns.
Formalwear, such as the focal longline blazer jacket, receives a punk makeover through hardware adornments, raw threads, and a Persian carpet-style print. The collection aims to share Turkey’s underground music community with the world and is designed for all genders.
Punk fashion enthusiasts and music rebels can explore or purchase the Eastern Punk Fall/Winter 2024 collection on Les Benjamins’ website.
