JJJJound And New Balance Unveil Two New Versions Of The 993

Building on their long-standing partnership with New Balance, JJJJound has unveiled the latest chapter in their collaboration, featuring two fresh takes on the iconic 993.

The new versions stick with JJJJound’s signature earthy browns and olives. They aren’t so much a full reinvention as a fresh twist on the familiar colors the brand has used in past releases like 2018 990v3, 2020 992, 2022 990v3, and 2023 991, and all reimagined on a new silhouette.

One version features two-tone white and bone midsoles paired with a standout silver tongue. At the same time, the other adopts a darker aesthetic reminiscent of the 2022 990v3 release with its black tongue, collar, overlays, and midsole. The most notable alteration, by JJJJound’s minimalist standards, is a subtle tweak to the tongue branding. Typically, the 993 displays ‘New Balance’ and ‘Made in USA’ in two lines. Only ‘Made in USA’ remains, shifted to the tongue’s top, leaving a slight gap above the traditional model name window near the laces.

The release date for these new 993 collaborations has not yet been announced, but they are expected to be released in the coming weeks. Stay tuned on JJJJound’s website.
