Tattly Temporary Tattoo Parlor in Brooklyn-01

Ever wondered what it would be like to get tattooed, but were too scared to actually commit to getting inked? Since 2011, Tattly has offered artistic, removable vegetable-based ink tattoos over the Internet, letting kids and adults alike enjoy the novelty of body art even for a while. Now, with their new brick-and-mortar store in Brooklyn, you can actually experience the feel of walking into a masterfully-designed tattoo parlor and getting “inked.”

If you’ve never heard of Tattly before, it’s a company founded by designer and parent Tina Roth Eisenberg, who got tired of using badly-designed temporary tattoos on her children. Her solution was to contact some really good artists and illustrators to create the most beautiful, fun temporary tattoo designs, who get royalties every time their designs make it to someone’s skin.

Located at 51 Bergen Street, Tattly’s new parlor is designed just like a real tattoo parlor, with barber-shop chairs, neon signs, and designs displayed on the wall for your choosing. The shop sports an eclectic, industrial theme that captures the feel of both the tattoo industry and NYC itself.

The Tattly parlor is open until February of next year, and accepts appointments made via appointments@tattly.com. Children can get a package of up to five designs for $15, while adults can get up to eight designs for $30. They’re open Tuesday to Sunday from noon to 7PM.
