Comune ‘Drop City’ T-Shirt by Devendra Banhart

Comune 'Drop City' T-Shirt by Devendra Banhart

Comune’s Drop City program adds Devendra Banhart to the mix for Fall 2011 with the creation of this original piece of art. Rather then placing a complete piece work on the front of a shirt, COMUNE worked with Banhart on using an exploded view of a smaller section creating a more organic pattern to the print. For those not familiar with Devendra Banhart, the LA-based singer songwriter has been igniting the music world for almost a decade. He’s no one-trick pony, as his other talents extend to drawing, painting and even curating both domestic and international arts shows.

Adam Kimmel Roll Sleeve Bandana Shirts

Adam Kimmel Roll Sleeve Bandana Shirts

Here’s an interesting offering from Adam Kimmel. Though it seems like an ordinary crew neck tee from a far, this shirt’s actually made from fine Italian cotton and features bandana silk cotton twill at roll sleeve. This has an old school cut as the sleeves are short and the hem sits at the waist.

Profound Aesthetic Summer 2010 Lookbook

Profound Aesthetic Summer 2010 Lookbook

T-shirt makers are a dime a dozen these days it seems. What makes Profound Aesthetic different is that they deliver each tee with a story, a concept. They use top quality tees and the designs are as edgy as they are thought provoking. The summer lookbook was shot in NYC, with some great photography by their team. After really getting an opportunity to check out all the tees, we have to say the Civilian tee is our go-to pickup. It comes in an olive military-style finish and pulls inspiration from those iconic “Army” tees. “Wear it with pride. You make an equal difference in this world.”
