Instagram held a press event this morning to unveil their latest iteration – Instagram Direct. It’s a new way to send photo and video messages to your friends. A new icon in the top right corner of your home feed will let you access the feature as all you have to do is tap it to see photos and videos that people have sent directly to you. If you’re looking to send, just choose Direct instead of Followers once you’ve edited your post. When you’re done editing, just choose the people you want to share with.
Instagram Direct is available through the App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for Android users via an update to the Instagram app. Short clip promoting the new feature is below.
