Here’s a first look at the film adaptation of Lois Lowry’s bestselling book “The Giver”. Featuring an all-star cast including Oscar-winning actors Jeff Bridges as The Giver and Meryl Streep as the villain Chief Elder, the dystopian thriller brings to life a book that won the 1994 Newberry Medal and was on eighth grade reading lists for many schools across the nation. Brenton Thwaites’ character Jonas is the “Receiver of Memory” after the world is reduced to “sameness.”
Directed by Phillip Noyce, The Giver is due to hit theaters August 15th.
