Richard Branson has unveiled Mahali Mzuri, a luxury safari camp about 150 miles west of Nairobi, Kenya. By working with a neighboring community and promoting of local workers, the development looks to minimize enviornmental impact with lightweight structures that promote low density tourism. Mahali Mzuri is situated within the maasai mara ecosystem and leveraged regionally sourced materials as well, while also catering for only 24 guests at any one time, promoting low density tourism. Each of the twelve tented suites feature a large deck that overlooks the sprawling plains and rolling valleys below. Inside, you’ll see a comfortable lounge area and a spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Canvas specialists byDESIGN were commissioned to complete the dwellings, while bespoke furniture was chosen by Real Studios. The program features an on-site infinity pool and spa treatments for guests, with twice daily game drives and guided walks and tours to local villages.
