Maison Martin Margiela and MYKITA have teamed up for a two-part collection that’s really been in the works since 2012. The first part falls under “Essential” with inspiration coming from historical shapes of the last century. The stainless steel frames have no additive components, and feature a thick, transparent powder that coats and seals the frames giving the entire construction a convex, all-enveloping body. There are six unisex styles and four different colorways. The “Dual” line features two pairs of acetate frames that were then divided into pairs, deconstructed, and then transplanted into four separate styles. There are five different colorways offered up in tone-in-tone or with contrasting color schemes.
The Maison Martin Margiela x MYKITA eyewear collection is available in limited numbers through Margiela and MYKITA boutiques. More info on the collaboration can be found through a dedicated website for MMM x MYKITA.
