It’s about time that Converse reworked the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star and they’ve done just that. The sneaker was first developed in 1971, when it triggered a new era of footwear design, style and technology. It also set the standards of a sneaker culture that has become the foundation for many modern streetwear and activewear collections.
The newly unveiled successor features the same classic detailing (white foxing, a rubber toe-cap and an All-Star patch) and sports some upgrades, including a perforated micro-suede liner and non-slip padded tongue. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II is a modern classic made from Tencel Canvas. It comes in four colorways: white, black, red, and blue.
The Chuck Taylor II will hit the market on Tuesday the 28th of July at select retailers and online at the Converse website.
