Solidwool is a new way of working with wool, using a special bio-resin and a top-secret bonding process to create a solid, beautiful, unique, and sustainable material. It’s just like fiberglass, only using coarse wool from Herdwick sheep. Solidwool is the brainchild of designers Hannah and Justin Floyd, who came up with the idea to bring some business back to the shepherding town of Buckfastleigh, England.
The couple has started a Solidwool furniture line called the Hembury Collection. In addition, they have also collaborated with Blok Knives, Fan Optics, and Artifact Uprising. See some of the Solidwool furniture, plus a few other stylish offerings, in the gallery below.
